Community Spotlight | People Love - Emma Mildon May 15 2017

This month we are bringing to you a rock star. No joke, she is a spiritual rock star. It’s so incredible the amount of things she is creating and involved in. Her basket is seriously full, yet at the same time when you speak to her she has the most calming meditative vibe ever. Her hugs are incredible and the conversation always inspiring. Let’s just say her lemonade is good.

The one and only Emma Mildon,  who is also known as the Spiritual Personal Assistant aka PA for your soul, is an International Columnist, #1 Best Selling Author, and spiritual philanthropist. Emma writes for The Huffington Post, MindBodyGreen, Wanderlust, Yoganonymous and is the author of the Best Selling book, The Soul Searchers Handbook, available on sale now. She was named by MindBodyGreen as one of their Top 10 Wellness Reads for 2016. Do you love crystals? Her courses in crystals, dreams, and tarot have become one of the most popular downloads on MindBodyGreen.

If that wasn’t enough, Emma is currently working on her second book set for release in August 2017 with US publishing giant Simon & Schuster. She is also the Editor of Wabi Sabi Magazine. If you haven’t checked out this magazine you must. It’s so cool, a conscious content mag which celebrates all things yoga, wellness, organic beauty, and local business. So… she’s a little busy.

Outside of what Emma is ‘up to’ she also writes and stands for all things living well. Which includes Being well, fitness – yoga, meditation, exercise. Eating well – nutrition, balance (yes, she eats chocolate and drinks wine). And, Feeling well – natural and eco beauty, massage, travel, and self-development.

She’s a world traveller, she has sought out medicine men, healers, physicists, authors, and artists to explore spirituality, channelling, and healing, and has also practiced meditation, yoga, and life coaching. Through it all, Emma has connected with like-minded soul searchers across the globe and aims to provide fun spiritual wisdom to her generation.

Basically we are in total awe… So recently we sat down with Emma and asked her a few of our favourite questions. Loving her answers so, have a read below and enjoy!

Fitness wise right now I am loving...

Les Mills GRIT, Personal Training with my oh-so-patient Personal Trainer Rowan Smith, and beach walks listening to Heads Garage. Some sweat, some support, and some sea time.

If I could only eat 1 food for the rest of my life...

Pineapple. If I could also live in a pineapple under the sea I would do this also.

I am happiest when...

I am cocooned in bed about to say peace out world. Dreams are like regular night time blockbusters for me, I love them! So me and your nana share that in common, bed time is party time for me.

I need more of.... and less of...

Time. Sometimes I just wish I had a big fat pause button. Anxiety. I have tendency to really over think life in general. Really the eternal student in that department.

In 2017...

I plan to have more courage! I am going to pipe up, stand up, call out, and be more consciously candour.

Right now I am most inspired by...

Every day Joes that cross my path inspire the hell out of me. Seriously. Every time I have a conversation with someone they inspire me, help me, guide me, or give me some weirdly woo-woo fact that transforms my day, my thoughts, or my writing. I am every bit inspired by everyone from the noisy lady next door who blows her nose violently at 3am (bless you) to the peeps at the gym who are stretching out and talking about what podcast they are listening to. Ever tuned in. (Which from what I hear in the gym, everyone is listening to ‘Missing Richard Simmons’ a hilarious podcast about theories of where Richard Simmons has been hiding for the past few years, he has not been seen in public for years!)

My most memorable yoga (or any fitness class) was...

Kundalini. The first time I did it was a WTF moment. The next time I kind of joined in the singing and chanting making up my own words and embracing my ‘mantra like you’re in the shower’ voice.  Now, I am that very loud chanting chick that I am sure newbies raise one eye brow to. Ah, the Kundalini circle of life. Which reminds me, I haven’t gone to a class in yonks… Note to self!

I can't live without...

Me time. I need solitude to recharge and reconnect. My creative cave is my temple. I use it to stretch, to sketch, to scribe, and to settle my soul. I really vibe with my own company. If I had a live cast from my study you would see I entertain myself very well, sometimes even cracking myself up. Sad, but true, and I totally own that if someone was peering through my windows I would look like a gemstone wielding cracking up crazy lady. Owning it.

Emma loves connecting with people. Here is how.
