Community Spotlight | People Love - Sunniva Holt October 17 2017
This month we are switching gears slightly. Here are Mala Earth we are huge fans of health, wellbeing, yoga, meditation, exercise, self love and all the rest. However, there is a whole other side to us that we want to introduce. It’s the entrepreneurial, girl boss, turn an idea into money, love the hustle side. Which brings us to this month’s community feature– Sunniva Holt. If you want to talk about loving the hustle talk to her. She even wrote a book about it ‘The Hustle Life’.
A transformational coach Sunniva is dedicated to helping people to be more, to break through blocks and limiting beliefs and play a bigger game. She focuses on all areas of your life from health, business, money, relationship to even your body.
Why is she your ‘go to’ to get more out of life? Because she has done it… she has built a property empire, started two successful businesses, written a best selling book, released a best selling app, traveled the world, and looks fab doing it.
We’ve asked her some of our favourite questions. So have a scroll. You’ll also find all the ways you can connect with her.
What purchase of under $100 in the last year has most impacted your life?
Ooh I like this question! It would have to be books, soooo many books. I love reading almost more than anything, I read a book a week (on Kindle).
Most influential Book you have read?
Oh God there are so many! One of the most recent would have to be the Elon Musk biography. I'm obsessed with how he makes the decision to revolutionise an entire industry then goes and just does it. And not just one industry either, so many! I'm so inspired by how his brain works.
What are your morning routine/rituals? What does the first hour of your day look like?
On an ideal day, I get up super early (5ish) drink a litre of water, then make some tea & journal for about an hour. Then head out for a quick workout, getting back in time to get my daughter ready for the day. I don't have a super consistent morning set up purely because travel a lot and also because I have a 3 year old who constantly challenges my sleep routines! But this is what I always come back to and sets up my day to be its best.
What's one thing that you do that people think is 'crazy' and why do you do it?
Probably the getting up at 5am (to be honest sometimes it's even at 4am) but I just love everything about early mornings.
When you think of a successful person, who 1st comes to mind and why?
Well Elon Musk obviously... Steve Jobs is also high on the list :)
What advice would you give your 21 year old self?
To stop getting hung up on shit that doesn't matter.
My biggest/hardest to achieve/scary goal at the moment is...
This will probably sound silly to most people but regular FB lives. I'm terrified of being 'seen' so that kind of thing is my cliff to jump off. Which reminds me to just get on with it because I've been procrastinating them for the past year.... argh
Right now I am most inspired by...
The passion and entrepreneurship in NZ. I'm obsessed with this country and the potential it has to be so incredible. I want to enable massive change here and am currently looking at ways to make it happen.
I have never been...
Scuba diving with manta rays, but I really WANT TO!
Need more Sunniva? She's is definitely worth a follow.
